Good things are happening and that's creating great career opportunities! We are expanding and seeking to immediately fill a Production Supervisor position for a new second shift (4 pm - 10 pm). In this role, you'll lead a team in producing, packaging, and shipping the best fresh salsas ever! For the first 2 months, you'll work during our first shift (8 am - 4 pm) to learn the ropes and secrets behind the products. You don't want to miss out so apply now!
Responsibilities
- Manage production of assigned salsas
- Follow sanitation and food safety protocols for produce, containers, finished products, and kitchen/equipment; ensure that all requirements are followed
- Responsible for production logs during assigned shift
- Manage production staff of 4-6 individuals
- Maintain high level of productivity and efficiency
- Minimize product waste/scrap
- Document and report on any product or staff issues
- Responsible for Quality Control on each production run
- Verify submitted team member timecards
- Identify and secure resource needs and escalate if needed
- Hire, fire, train and mentor staff
Skills
- 10+ years in a food production environment
- 3+ years experience managing production teams
- College degree desirable, but not required
- Highly organized and comfortable multi-tasking
- Strong interpersonal skills; friendly and outgoing
- Consistent and reliable
- Goal oriented and comfortable with quota assignments
- Maintain high level of hygiene standards
- Foot handlers permit required or obtained within 30 days of start date
- Strong PC experience and willingness to leverage new tools
