In 7 short years, Salsa Queen has grown from selling at local farmers markets to now being distributed in more than 1000 stores and across 30+ states.  Good things are happening and that's creating great career opportunities!  We are expanding and seeking to immediately fill a position that will make the world's yummiest salsas.  In this role, you'll be responsible for making the best fresh salsas ever!   Normal hours are 9 - 5, but we can be flexible for the right person.  You don't want to miss out so apply now! 


 

Responsibilities

  1. Manage production of assigned salsas
  2. Follow sanitation and food safety protocols for produce, containers, finished products, and kitchen/equipment; ensure that all requirements are followed
  3. Responsible for production logs during assigned shift
  4. Maintain high level of productivity and efficiency
  5. Minimize product waste/scrap
  6. Responsible for Quality Control on each production run 

 

 

Skills

  1. 3+ years in a food production environment
  2. College degree desirable, but not required
  3. Highly organized and comfortable multi-tasking
  4. Strong interpersonal skills; friendly and outgoing
  5. Consistent and reliable
  6. Goal oriented and comfortable with quota assignments
  7. Maintain high level of hygiene standards
  8. Foot handlers permit required or obtained within 30 days of start date
  9. Strong PC experience and willingness to leverage new tools


Physical Requirements

   1. Stand for 2-3 hours at a time

   2. Lift up to 40 lbs without injury
